  • I am currently working with the owners of From Stage to Screen (a private acting school on Long Island, NY) to further diversify their student body. I presented this idea to Gene Forman, and he graciously accepted the suggestion, and help. We are currently formulating scholarship criteria so that all students feel encouraged, and have the ability to pursue specialized education in the Arts.

  • I begin rehearsals for a concert version of "Dessa Rose" at Olney Theatre the first week of March 2020. Concert performance is on March 6, 2020.

  • After closing “Singin’ In The Rain” at Olney Theatre Center, I jumped into their production of "Miss You Like Hell".

  • I was recently cast for an Industrial/Web Video for The Biscuit Factory.
  • This Yankees fan has a thing for the Washington Nationals! Check out my commercial for Nats Park airing locally in the DMV area, and on the radio!
  • I became a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association in January 2019!
  • Had the awesome opportunity to be a print model for a Carfax campaign in the fall of 2018. "Debbie" loves working through Carfax!

  • International traveler alert! I lived in Seoul, South Korea for four months in 2017 to play Michelle in "Dreamgirls"! Co-produced by WorkLight and OD Company, this production of "Dreamgirls" was special to the people of Seoul because we were the first African American cast from America to perform on their stage! In addition to playing Michelle, I was the understudy for "the great Ms. Jones!" aka Deena Jones!
  • I was cast in the world premier musical, "Freaky Friday" at Signature Theater this fall 2016. Music, and lyrics by Tom Kitt, and Brian Yorkey; book by Bridget Carpenter; direction from Christopher Ashley; choreography by Sergio Trujillo

Reviews for "West Side Story" at Riverside Center for the Performing Arts

"As the fiery Anita, Olivia Ashley Reed makes the part truly her own. Reed's singing and dancing are superb as she leads the lady Sharks and their mates in "America." (By the way this production takes a cue from the 1961 movie having the men and women perform "America" as a battle of the sexes. In the original, Anita and the women perform the number without their male companions.)"
Broadway World Reviews
"In the role of Anita, Olivia Reed supplies the much needed feminine dominance that we would expect from Bernardo’s lady love. Her duet with Maria in “I Have a Love” was, in fact, the  moment in the show that penetrated my armor of objective interest and found its mark."

Star Exponent
"Olivia Ashley Reed, playing the feisty Anita, is excellent with Ryan Sellers as Bernardo. They perfectly convey the simultaneous spice and friction demanded by those characters."
